Bridal Party

Alexis Anderson - Maid of Honor

Bride's side, Best Friend
Alexis and Jenn went to college together. They met at the "Commons", the dinning hall of RPI, the night before their first day of college life. The Commons was packed with students and there were no empty tables for Jenn's roommate and her to sit. Alexis and her roommate were kind enough to let them share their table. The funny thing was, they didn't become best friends then. Sophomore year, tired of sitting on campus on a dreary winter Saturday, Alexis and Jenn decided that shopping at the Crossgate's mall was in order. They borrowed one of their friends car and went on to their little shopping trip. Yes, indeed, shopping brought them together. Ever since that day, they share all the ups and downs with each other.

During their last spring break, they decided that they HAVE to go on a trip, instead of studying or working. They booked a cruise to the Caribbean last minute and while on the cruise, they both "proposed" to each other to be each other's maid of honor.

Although they live about as far apart as you can in United States, they remain friends and share their stories whenever life don't get in the way.

Melissa Anderson - Bridesmaid

Bride's side, College Friend
Jenn and Melissa go back to pre-college. When Jenn was accepted to RPI, she was assigned with a mentor based on her home state, interests and major. Melissa wrote her a letter during the summer to introduce herself, and they formally met when they were both auditioning for Rusty Pipes, an a cappella group. They went to Ben and Jerry's afterwards and the rest is history.

No, she is not related to Alexis Anderson. They both got married the same year to their husbands that just happened to have the same last name.

Melissa is defending her thesis this year for her Ph.D in Physics, so soon, everyone can finally call her - Dr. Anderson!

Meredith Blumenstock - Bridesmaid

Bride's side, Friend
Jenn and Meredith met in '05 when Mer was co-oping with Schick. Close to age, and the fact that there are not a lot men in engineering in general, they quickly became friends. They had a tradition of making dumplings on Tuesdays at Jenn's house, and she was the one that was there when Jenn and David started seeing each other.

Meredith is now working in the Big Apple and enjoys every minute of it. Jenn still bugs her to come up to CT for dumplings nights.

Scott Priore - Best Man

Groom's side, Best Friend
Scott and David have known each other forever. They grew up in the same town, but didn't become friends until they were in high school. They ended up going to college together and became roommates, and chose the same major and were on the ski team together. After graduating from Lowell, David and Scott worked at different companies in different states, but they lived closed by and hung out whenever possible.  They also decided to coach the Lowell ski team together.  After David moved to Connecticut to work for Schick, Scott had a change of job and also moved to Connecticut. Currently, Scott and his family live only half an hour away from David, which makes it very easy for them to visit each other.

Terry LaVine - Groomsman

Groom's side, Brother
If Scott and David have known each other forever, then Terry and David have known each other FOREVER. They grew up together, went to college together, were roommates, until Terry decided that cars are his expertise, not engineering, and moved out to Chicago for Mechanics School. He then moved to Michigan to live with David, until David moved back to the Northeast - to this date, Terry blames David for him being stuck in Michigan.

Dan LaVine - Groomsman

Groom's side, Brother
Danny and David didn't grow up together, but he resembles the LaVine's and inherited the LaVine Smarts. He went to Tufts and earned his B.S. in Math and was teaching high school math.  After a year of that, he decided that it's enough of dealing with kids just like him and currently is seeking employment in the private sector, though he'd secretly much rather be a rock star.  He would also like me to ask that if you are looking for a team-oriented self-starter with experience with Microsoft Office, please give him a call.
